The recent death of my brother has caused me to do alot of thinking lately…
I wish I could say that I actually came up the following. I didn’t, but I truly believe in it.

Trust Fund – children of Cpl. Randy Payne
I have had a couple of newspapers publish a little article explaining that there has been a trust fund established for the children and provided the details for people willing to donate something towards the childrens future. Anything we can do to get more people aware of it and possibly contributing is a good thing I think.
The National Post article can be found here.
The Edmonton Sun article can be found here.
For those wishing to help provide a future for my brothers children: son Tristan (7) and daughter Jasmine (5) there has been a trust fund setup at the TD Canada Trust in Gananoque.
All donations need to be made out to account ……. in Gananoque but can be made at any branch.
The family thanks you for your generosity and kindness in this difficult situation.
2008 UPDATE: Thanks very much for all of your support. The trust fund has now been closed. As far as people contacting me looking for a means of showing any kind of support, I would recommend a purchase of the specially designed Military Police Support the Troops pins that have been created for this initiative and are available through the Canadian Association of Military Police Veterans site.
Guestbook available for Cpl. Randy Payne
For those of you who knew my brother Cpl. Randy Payne, there has been a guestbook setup in his honour. You can view it by clicking on this link and then click on “Guest Book”.
Many thanks to legacy.com and their CanWest newspaper affiliates as they have very generously decided to permanently sponsor the page so that it will be available forever to the family, friends and all that have heard the goodness and generosity of Randy and the contributions he has made to his country and the world. He has made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our continued freedom.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
A fitting excerpt from “For the Fallen” by Laurence Binyon (1869 – 1943).
