$298.53

What is that amount for you probably ask? Well that is the cost of a pressure switch for a Carrier furnace. Now how would I know something like that you ask? Well let me paint the scene… it is currently a temp of -20°C and a wind chill of -35°C with winds NW at 30 km/h, gusting to 39 km/h so wouldn’t you think that the coldest day of the year so far is the abosolute perfect day for a furnace to say “You know what… I am tired of making heat so I won’t do that anymore, I will just blow cold air!” That way, you can wake up in the morning with the temperature of the house set to 19°C but the temperature of the house actually being 12°C! That is sweet! $298.53 and a new Pressure Switch later we have heat, that’s how I know!

Enough With The Snow Already!

I am sick and tired of shovelling and it is only the second week of January!

It figures, the year we don’t hire Mr Plow, we are getting huge snowfalls here…

Moving Up

Well I moved up into the Intermediate class a little while ago now and got my yellow belt in under 3 months so I was pretty pleased about that. Along with the new class level comes a new heavy weight gi, perfect for the grappling and floor work that we will be doing soon!

Stripe Week

Cam and I have been training pretty hard lately. With me doing my GBM class 4 times a week and Cam doing his Little Dragons class usually 3 times a week, we have both been promoted to our 2nd stripes. Next step for me is a red tip and then testing for the next belt. I am having an absolute blast doing it again, I wish I didn’t take so many years to get back into it!

Mental Note To Self…

When washing the van/car next time, not to leave the mats out on the newly soded grass (even for a couple of minutes) when it is a million degrees outside.
