I picked up a new Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G IF ED VR lens today.

Well I finally stepped up to a real DSLR this week. I had some “extra” cash from my recently completed web design work, (not that I don’t have other things I really should spend my money on) but I have been dying for a better camera for a couple of years.

After much debate I ended up going with the Nikon D90 paired with the SB-600 and so far couldn’t be happier!

Not sure how I’m going to manage this in the future…

I currently have new photos at my iPhone Camera+ page.

Also new stuff up on my Flickr photostream.

I used to post everything directly to the photo galleries hosted on my site but will probably be getting away from that and going strictly with Flickr…

I’ll have to think about the best way to go forward on this one.

I took some more photos of the flowers in my backyard, they are really blooming like crazy lately. I have really taken to the look of the Orton technique as well as I have process most of them in this way. A couple of them though are straight from the camera with no processing.
